Job summary

HealthFitness, a Trustmark company, is seeking a Lifeguard for an as‑needed position at a Delhi Township aquatic facility in Ohio. You will help maintain a welcoming, attentive, and safe environment for members and guests.

Responsibilities include monitoring patron safety, enforcing rules, responding to emergencies, and performing routine water chemistry testing. Must be 16+, CPR/AED/First Aid certified, and proficient with MS Office and relevant systems.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
• Proficient in MS Office and member management systems.
• Ability to interact positively with people of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety and well‑being of patrons using aquatic facilities.

• Perform chemical testing and document results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.

HealthFitness is excited to offer a flexible substitute/as‑needed Lifeguard opportunity at our client's aquatic facility in Delhi Township, Ohio. As a key guardian of the pool deck, you'll help create a welcoming, attentive, and secure environment for all members and guests-ensuring every visit is both safe and enjoyable.

Responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all of the aquatic facility members and guests.

Key Accountabilities

• Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
• Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
• Respond appropriately to any emergency.
• Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.
• Attend all required staff meetings and training.
• Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.
• Maintain a professional attitude.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
• Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
• Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.

All lifeguards are required to perform a basic lifeguard skill test consisting of:

• 500 yard swim.
• Active, Passive, Submerged rescues.
• Spinal injury management in shallow and deep water.
• Other various techniques that were learned during the Lifeguard Training Program.

Compensation: $12/hr - $13/hr. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
