Pay range: $25.73/hr - $25.74/hr, provided by City and County of San Francisco. Your actual pay will depend on your skills and experience.
Type: Temporary Exempt (TEX), as-needed appointment, exempt from Civil Service examination. No city health or retirement benefits.
The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department manages over 225 parks and facilities, including 9 pools. The Aquatics Division oversees nine pools across neighborhoods and Camp Mather during summer.
Under general supervision, protect the health, safety, and welfare of pool patrons. Responsibilities include monitoring pool activities, conducting rescues, enforcing rules, maintaining cleanliness, and providing customer service.
Experience: Minimum of 200 hours as paid or volunteer lifeguard.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid Lifeguard, CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen Administration certifications from an approved agency, maintained throughout employment.
