Job summary

SwimKids | An Emler Swim School is seeking a Lifeguard to ensure a safe, fun learning environment for children and families. You will monitor activities, enforce rules, perform rescues, and assist instructors to promote water safety.

The role requires current lifeguard, CPR, AED, and first aid certifications, plus strong swimming and calm under pressure. Shifts include evenings and weekends with opportunities for growth within the swim program.

Qualifications

• Current Lifeguard, CPR, AED and First Aid certifications (Red Cross or equivalent) required.
• Strong swimming and rescue skills.
• Able to stay alert and act quickly in emergencies.
• Dependable, safety-focused and calm under pressure.
• Friendly, team-oriented with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool activities to maintain a safe, positive environment.
• Enforce pool rules and respond quickly to emergencies.
• Perform rescues, administer first aid, and use CPR/AED as needed.
• Conduct safety checks and report hazards or maintenance needs.
• Maintain high attention to reduce risks and promote safety.
• Support swim instructors and educate swimmers on water safety.
• Keep the pool area clean, organized, and hazard-free.
• Participate in regular training and safety drills.
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining safety oversight.
• Assist with special events and swim programs as needed.
