Emler Swim School in Austin, TX seeks a part-time Lifeguard to ensure safe, positive experiences for swimmers of all ages. You will monitor pool activities, enforce rules, perform rescues, administer first aid, and support instructors.

Current lifeguard, CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications required. The role offers evenings and weekend shifts, opportunities for growth into instructor or mentor, and benefits such as tuition reimbursement and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• Current Lifeguard, CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications required.
• Strong swimming and rescue skills.
• Ability to stay aware and act quickly in emergency situations.
• Dependable, safety-focused, and calm under pressure.
• Friendly, team-oriented attitude with great communication skills.
• Must be at least 15 years old.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all pool activities to maintain a safe, positive environment.
• Enforce pool rules and respond quickly to emergencies.
• Perform rescues, administer first aid, and use CPR/AED when necessary.
• Conduct safety checks and report hazards or maintenance needs.
• Maintain a high level of attention at all times to reduce risks and promote safety.
• Support swim instructors and help educate swimmers on water safety.
• Keep the pool area clean, organized, and hazard-free.
• Participate in regular training and safety drills.
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining safety oversight.
• Assist with special events and swim programs as needed.
