Job summary

The Arlington-Mansfield Area YMCA is seeking dependable lifeguards for weekday morning and afternoon shifts. This role focuses on maintaining safe swimming conditions, enforcing pool safety rules, and delivering a welcoming environment for all users.

Qualified candidates must be at least 16 years old, hold YMCA Lifeguard certification, and possess CPR/AED/First Aid certifications. A team-oriented, professional attitude is essential to support the YMCA mission.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must hold current YMCA Lifeguard certification.
• Must hold CPR, AED, Oxygen Administration and First Aid certifications.
• Ability to work weekday mornings and afternoons.
• Ability to relate to individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain active surveillance of the pool area.
• Follow Arlington-Mansfield Area YMCA Aquatics Safety Plan and procedures.
• Respond to emergencies per YMCA policies and Safe-in-Six model.
• Complete incident and emergency reports accurately and promptly.
• Enforce safety rules and guidelines for pool and aquatic areas.
• Remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Maintain order and address concerns with timely solutions.
• Keep records as required by YMCA and health dept regulations.
