Children's Home of Wyoming Conference in Endicott, NY is seeking a part-time lifeguard to maintain safe swimming conditions in the pool, on the deck and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities include enforcing health and safety rules, performing swim tests, reporting incidents, and coordinating with staff. Certifications in lifeguard, CPR, First Aid and AED are required, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Advance swimming and rescue skills test required.
• Lifeguard certification required.
• CPR for professional rescuer, First Aid and AED certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe swimming conditions in pool, on deck and surrounding areas.
• Prevent accidents by scanning assigned zone per 10/10 rule.
• Perform swim tests as required by policy.
• Enforce health and safety rules; maintain emergency readiness.
• Respond to emergencies and complete incident/accident reports.
• Perform routine pool and area maintenance for cleanliness.
• Check pool and rescue equipment; report problems.
• Set up and put away equipment for swims.
• Develop rapport with members, participants and staff.
• Uphold STCC core values when interacting with people.
