Job summary

RUPCO Inc. in Willow Landing, NY is seeking a part-time Lifeguard to oversee pool safety, enforce rules, and deliver friendly customer service to residents and guests.

You will meet New York State certification requirements, monitor water quality and hygiene, respond to emergencies with CPR and First Aid, coordinate with the on-site team, and help maintain a clean, welcoming pool environment. Flexible hours may include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma recommended.
• Prior lifeguard experience preferred.
• Current lifeguard, CPR and First Aid certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of the pool area to ensure the safety of all swimmers and guests.
• Enforce pool rules and regulations to prevent accidents.
• Promote a positive and enjoyable experience for all community members.
• Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations, including administering first aid and CPR as necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and assisting residents and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Perform routine pool maintenance tasks, including checking water quality, ensuring cleanliness of the pool area and locker room, and communicating effectively with other lifeguards, reporting any issues to the operations manager/program director and maintenance staff to foster a collaborative and supportive team environment
• Comply with workplace safety and OSHA regulations.
• Must be present on-site and be able to move throughout the facility to address pool-related matters and meet with residents, staff, vendors and visitors.
• Ability to lift and/or move large or heavy objects in excess of 30 pounds as needed.
• Must be comfortable with exposure to varying environmental climates and circumstances.
