Job summary

The Grove Resort & Water Park Orlando is seeking a vigilant, professional lifeguard to supervise pool and water facilities across indoor and outdoor areas, ensuring guest safety and enjoyment. Responsibilities include monitoring activity, opening/closing pool areas, reporting hazards, and maintaining cleanliness.

CPR/First Aid/Lifeguard certification is required, with 6 months to 1 year of lifeguard experience preferred. Work at a 787-room resort located six miles from Walt Disney World.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6–12 months lifeguard experience preferred.
• CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard certifications required.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor guests in pool areas with constant surveillance to ensure safety.
• Open and close pool facility daily according to hours and procedures.
• Enforce pool rules and regulations and respond to safety hazards or emergencies.
• Identify and address safety hazards and unsafe behaviors promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe pool environment at all times.
• Provide professional lifeguard services and assist other lifeguards as needed.
• Support pool events and activities such as pool parties and functions.

Join our dedicated Recreation Team and help ensure the safety and enjoyment of guests at our pool and water facilities. We are looking for lifeguards who are vigilant, professional and friendly.

Work at The Grove Resort & Water Park Orlando, a 787-room resort located just six miles from Walt Disney World. The resort offers guests a modern, adults‑centered retreat with private pools, cabanas, a poolside bar, a fire pit, a gym, and a grab‑and‑go market.

Essential Job Functions

• Monitor guests in recreational areas and provide constant surveillance of pool areas to ensure guest safety.
• Open and close the pool facility daily in accordance with scheduled operating hours and established procedures.
• Monitor all pool activities to ensure guest safety and compliance with pool rules and regulations.
• Identify and respond promptly to safety hazards, emergencies, and unsafe behaviours within the pool area.
• Clear the pool and surrounding areas during dangerous weather conditions or other safety‑related situations.
• Monitor weather conditions and reports to ensure the safety of all guests and staff.
• Perform daily inspections of the pool, deck, slide, and surrounding areas to identify and address potential hazards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pool environment at all times.
• Provide professional lifeguard services while consistently adhering to all pool safety standards and emergency procedures.
• Support and assist fellow lifeguards in maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for guests.
• Organise, oversee, and support pool events and activities, including pool parties and special functions.
• Maintain all required certifications, licences, and training necessary to comply with Lifeguard Certification Program requirements.
• Complete incident reports and communicate safety concerns to management as necessary.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Hotel Specific

• Work both indoors and outdoors, including outside in all weather conditions.
• Work in multiple outlets across the properties.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift, carry, push or pull 10 lbs.
• Primarily standing for majority of shift.

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or its equivalent.

Experience:

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Six (6) months to one (1) year of prior lifeguard experience preferred.
• Physical role requiring heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting and kneeling.
• CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard certified required.
