Job summary

The Forest Hills Public School District Community Aquatic Center in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring a part-time Lifeguard. Starting pay is $15.00 per hour, with varied hours and immediate starting date.

The role focuses on patron safety, enforcing rules, and assisting the Aquatics Coordinator and Senior Guards. Requires current Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED certification and ability to pass a pre-employment skills test if required.

Qualifications

• Must possess or be enrolled in a current Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Must present all original certifications.
• Previous guarding and/or swimming experience preferred.
• Be a capable swimmer with lifeguarding skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and welfare of patrons.
• Assist the Aquatics Coordinator and Senior Guards in all areas of responsibility.
• Directly responsible to the Aquatic Coordinator, or Senior Guard in the AC’s absence.
• Perform surveillance and enforce pool rules and safety procedures.
