Job summary

The City of McKinney is seeking a lifeguard to safeguard guests at the pool facility and provide excellent customer service. Primary duties include monitoring the pool, responding to emergencies, and assisting with daily maintenance and special events.

The role requires the ability to swim 500 yards, be at least 15 years old, and obtain or have lifeguard/CPR/First Aid certifications. Regular training, drug screening, and safety protocols apply.

Qualifications

• Some High School or working towards High School diploma.
• Must be 15 years of age.
• Ability to swim 500 yards.
• Lifeguard, Swim Lesson Instructor, CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Ability to pass rescue skills and first aid proficiency test.

Responsibilities

• Scan pool area to detect safety concerns and prevent incidents.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies.
• Provide professional customer service and greet guests by name.
• Perform daily maintenance and assist with setup/cleanup.
• Attend mandatory training and work at events and rentals.
