Job summary

The City of McKinney is seeking an Aquatics Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the city’s aquatic facilities and ensure guest safety. You will supervise lifeguards and instructors, enforce policies, and coordinate with the McKinney Swim School Program while delivering excellent customer service.

Ideal candidates hold a Red Cross Lifeguard certification with CPR/First Aid, a high school diploma or GED, and must be available for rotating weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years aquatic experience.
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification with CPR/First Aid for the Professional Rescuer.
• McKinney Swim School Instructor certification or eligibility within 6 months.
• Ability to work rotating weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of aquatic team members, customers, and patrons.
• Supervise aquatic team and direct daily goals.
• Set rotation, cover absences and determine guard needs.
• Maintain appropriate instructor-to-patron ratios and safety equipment usage.
• Oversee swim school program evaluations and session prep.
• Open/close facilities and complete cash reports.
