Job summary

The Louisville Metro Government is seeking a Lifeguard to monitor municipal pool areas, enforce safety rules, and respond to emergencies to maintain a safe, sanitary environment.

You will perform rescues, administer first aid, log inspections, and assist with daily pool operations under close supervision. Must hold lifeguard, first aid, and CPR certifications and be at least 15 years old.

Qualifications

• Certified Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR (adult, child, infant).
• Ability to swim and perform water rescues.
• Must be at least 15 years old.

Responsibilities

• Actively scans pool area for signs of distress or hazards.
• Cautions swimmers about weather, unsafe areas, or rules.
• Rescues swimmers in danger and administers first aid.
• Maintains pool rules and safety compliance.
• Performs pool inspections, logs chemical data, reports issues.
• Assists with facility operations and daily cleaning.
