Job summary

City of Springfield seeks a dedicated lifeguard to ensure patron safety at the facility. You will prevent and respond to emergencies, enforce rules, and report conditions to supervisors.

Responsibilities include pre-opening inspections, daily paperwork, training participation, sign-in of bathers, trash cleanup, and assisting with public relations. Requires current certifications and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Must maintain current lifeguard certifications.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safety of patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies.
• Recognize emergencies and respond to them effectively.
• Enforce aquatic rules, policies, and regulations for all patrons.
• Inspect the facility before opening and closing; report unsafe conditions.
• Complete all paperwork during shifts.
• Participate in regular in-service training sessions.
• Sign-in all bathers using the facility.
• Pick up trash in and around the pool facility.
