Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality's Arizona Biltmore property is hiring a Lifeguard for a part-time role. You will observe guests at the pool, enforce rules, and assist with maintaining a safe, welcoming pool environment.

Qualified candidates have six months of Lifeguard experience and a current Lifeguard certificate. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred and candidates must be able to meet prerequisites for shallow water lifeguard certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool area and ensure guest safety per regulations.
• Enforce slide rules and respond to emergencies.
• Open/close pool areas per schedule and maintain cleanliness.
• Engage with guests and provide attentive service.
• Maintain slide deck and pool furniture in orderly condition.
• Be prepared to act in emergencies when needed.

What You Will Have An Opportunity To Do

The Lifeguard is responsible for observing guests utilizing the pool slide and performing designated rescue practices as needed to ensure guest safety according to local, state and federal health and safety regulations. Assist with maintaining cleanliness of pool areas and providing exceptional service to our guests.

Essential Functions

• Perform slide shift duties.
• Enforce slide rules consistently and fairly.
• Open and close the pool areas according to established schedule and direction from Manager or Supervisor.
• Continually maintain slide deck areas to ensure cleanliness and orderly arrangement of pool, towels, and furniture.
• Interact with guests at the slide area to ensure their expectations are met or exceeded.
• Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests and associates, damage to our property or the property of others. Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency and demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency.

This is a part-time position, must be available to work days, evening, weekends and holidays,

Experience

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES

• Current Lifeguard Certificate, preferred.
• Individual must be able to meet the required pre-requisites to be able to obtain Shallow Water Lifeguard Certification.
• CPR / First Aid Certification, preferred.
