Job summary

Poway Unified School District is seeking a Limited Term Lifeguard to supervise pool activities, ensure safety, and assist with aquatic programs. The position runs generally 7:30am–4:00pm and offers placement on the district's swimming facilities.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• One year lifeguarding experience with teaching swimming is required.
• Current First Aid, CPR and Lifeguard Training certificates required.

Responsibilities

• Observe students and patrons to ensure safe pool and activity areas.
• Respond to emergencies; provide first aid per procedures; document incidents.
• Assist in swimming instruction and support physical education teachers.
• Maintain pool supplies and equipment; process requisitions.
• Communicate with staff and community groups about pool operations.
• Perform routine pool maintenance and water testing.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
