• Ability to maintain American Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
• Comfort in and around water.

• Enforces rules in a courteous and professional manner.
• Responds to emergency situations immediately.

Develop lifelong safety and leadership skills

Duties include:

• Maintains safety and security of the pool and its patrons at all times
• Rules are explained and enforced in a courteous, professional, and firm manner.
• Knows/reviews all emergency procedures and responds to emergency situations immediately.
• Maintain effective, positive relationships with members, participants, and other staff.
• Performs chemical testing as required.
• Participates in emergency drills and in service to the level in which staff have been trained.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must be 15 years of age or older
• Ability to maintain American Red Cross Lifeguard certification
• Ability to work with a diverse population including children
• Comfort in and around water
• Must pass a background check (18 years of age or older)
• Must pass a pre-employment skill check
• Skills required:
