The YWCA of Lubbock is seeking a Lifeguard - Level II / Water Safety Instructor to teach water safety courses and ensure the safety of patrons. Strong customer service skills and the ability to manage emergency situations are essential. The position involves creating swim lesson plans and accommodating participants with diverse needs. Candidates must possess or be able to obtain necessary certifications within a specified timeframe.

Job Summary
Under general supervision of the Aquatics Manager, teach water safety courses, including Basic Water Rescue and Personal Water Safety, Parent and Child Aquatics, Preschool Aquatics, and the Learn-to-Swim Aquatics program.
Serve as a Lifeguard, monitoring all swimming activities to ensure the safety of patrons. This includes preventing and responding to emergencies and providing general assistance to patrons.
To prioritize the safety of patrons and ensure proper response during emergencies, it is mandatory for all aquatics staff to attend all trainings and ongoing in-services.
