Job summary

Lakeway Resort and Spa in Austin Lakeway is seeking a Lifeguard - Swimming Pool Attendant to oversee guest and staff safety in the pool area and help maintain facilities. Responsibilities include monitoring pool usage, ensuring access for registered guests, and assisting with Kids Zone activities.

The position requires life safety certifications and a high school diploma, with part-time shifts including weekends. Training opportunities for safety and customer service are available.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of the Resort, guests, and employees in the pool area.
• Ensure only registered guests and their guests use pool and exercise facilities.
• Maintain proper chemical and temperature levels in the pool, whirlpool, sauna, etc.
• Ensure the safety of all exercise equipment through daily checks.
• Maintain upkeep, cleanliness and housekeeping of the pool area and inventory of supplies.
• Greet and monitor kids’ activities in the Kids Zone and family areas, ensuring rules are followed.
• Perform other related duties as directed by the Manager.

Job Summary:

The Lifeguard - Swimming Pool Attendantis responsible forensuring guest and employee safety and cleanliness in the pool area. They are also responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the pool, exercisestudio,and public areas.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure thesafetyand security of the Resort and Spaguestsandemployeeswhile in the pool area by monitoring pool usage and ensuring that guestsare abiding by published safety rules and guidelines.
• Ensure that only registered guests and theirguestsutilizethe pool andexercise room facilities.
• Asdirected bythePropertyEngineer,maintainproper chemical andtemperaturelevels in the pool,whirlpool, sauna,etc., to ensure guest comfort and adherence to state and local regulations.
• Ensure the safety of all exercise equipment by checking daily and as directed by the Property Engineer.
• Ensure the upkeep,cleanlinessand housekeeping of the pool area;utilizea pool area checklist tomonitorquality on a regular basis.
• Ensure the cleanliness of poolrestrooms,locker rooms, and exercise studio andmaintaina sufficient inventory of supplies.
• Greet, assist with programming, and monitor children’s and family activities in the Kid Zone and other family areas both inside Kids Zone and outdoors, ensuring guests are adhering to rules and regulations per property and safety standards.
• Perform other related duties as directed by Manager.

Requirements

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent and /orexperience in a hotel ora relatedfield preferred.
• SuccessfulcompletionofRed Cross or equivalent Water/Life Safetycourse.
• Successful completion of Red Cross or equivalent First Aid course.
• Successful completion ofan accreditedCPR course.
• Proficient in water life safety techniques.
• Ability to alternately sit, stand, and swim during theentireshift.
