Job summary

Lakeside Reflections at the Lakeway Resort & Spa in Austin, Texas seeks a Lifeguard - Swimming Pool Attendant to ensure guest and employee safety and pool area cleanliness, and to assist with pool, exercise studio, and public spaces upkeep.

You will monitor pool use, enforce safety rules, maintain chemical and temperature levels, inspect equipment, and support family activities in Kid Zone while following property safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; hotel/related field experience preferred.
• Red Cross or equivalent Water/Life Safety course.
• Red Cross or equivalent First Aid course.
• Accredited CPR course completed.
• Proficient in water life safety techniques.
• Ability to sit, stand, and swim during the entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool area to ensure guest and employee safety and enforce posted rules.
• Limit pool/area access to registered guests and their guests.
• Maintain chemical and temperature levels in pool, whirlpool, sauna, and related facilities as directed by the Property Engineer.
• Inspect safety of exercise equipment daily and as directed.
• Keep pool area clean and stocked; follow a pool area checklist.
• Maintain clean restrooms, locker rooms, and exercise studio; manage supplies inventory.
• Greet and assist with programming in Kid Zone and family areas, ensuring rules and safety standards are followed.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Manager.

Job Summary:

The Lifeguard - Swimming Pool Attendant is responsible for ensuring guest and employee safety and cleanliness in the pool area. They are also responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the pool, exercisestudio, and public areas.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety and security of the Resort and Spaguestsandemployeeswhile in the pool area by monitoring pool usage and ensuring that guestsare abiding by published safety rules and guidelines.
• Ensure that only registered guests and theirguestsutilizethe pool andexercise room facilities.
• Asdirected bythePropertyEngineer,maintainproper chemical andtemperaturelevels in the pool,whirlpool, sauna,etc., to ensure guest comfort and adherence to state and local regulations.
• Ensure the safety of all exercise equipment by checking daily and as directed by the Property Engineer.
• Ensure the upkeep,cleanlinessand housekeeping of the pool area;utilizea pool area checklist tomonitorquality on a regular basis.
• Ensure the cleanliness of poolrestrooms,locker rooms, and exercise studio andmaintaina sufficient inventory of supplies.
• Greet, assist with programming, and monitor children’s and family activities in the Kid Zone and other family areas both inside Kids Zone and outdoors, ensuring guests are adhering to rules and regulations per property and safety standards.
• Perform other related duties as directed by Manager.

Requirements

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent and /orexperience in a hotel ora relatedfield preferred.
• SuccessfulcompletionofRed Cross or equivalent Water/Life Safetycourse.

• Proficient in water life safety techniques.
• Ability to alternately sit, stand, and swim during theentireshift.
