Job summary

Lakeway Resort and Spa in Austin, Texas seeks a part-time Lifeguard - Swimming Pool Attendant to maintain guest safety and pool cleanliness, monitor the pool area, and assist with family activities.

You will work under the Property Engineer, ensure chemical and temperature levels, inspect equipment, and help keep restrooms and public spaces tidy. Requirements include a high school diploma, Red Cross water safety, First Aid, and CPR.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; hotel or related field experience preferred.
• Red Cross or equivalent Water Safety course completed.
• Red Cross or equivalent First Aid course completed.
• CPR course completed.
• Proficient in water life safety techniques.
• Ability to alternately sit, stand, and swim during the shift.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of guests and employees in the pool area by monitoring usage and enforcing safety rules.
• Limit pool/exercise room access to registered guests and their guests.
• Maintain proper chemical and temperature levels in the pool, whirlpool, sauna, etc., under direction.
• Inspect and ensure safety of exercise equipment daily.
• Uphold pool area cleanliness and housekeeping; use a checklist to monitor quality.
• Maintain pool restrooms, locker rooms, and exercise studio cleanliness and stock supplies.
• Greet and monitor children’s activities in Kids Zone and family areas, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Perform other related duties as directed by Manager.

Job Summary:

The Lifeguard - Swimming Pool Attendantis responsible forensuring guest and employee safety and cleanliness in the pool area. They are also responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the pool, exercisestudio,and public areas.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure thesafetyand security of the Resort and Spaguestsandemployeeswhile in the pool area by monitoring pool usage and ensuring that guestsare abiding by published safety rules and guidelines.
• Ensure that only registered guests and theirguestsutilizethe pool andexercise room facilities.
• Asdirected bythePropertyEngineer,maintainproper chemical andtemperaturelevels in the pool,whirlpool, sauna,etc., to ensure guest comfort and adherence to state and local regulations.
• Ensure the safety of all exercise equipment by checking daily and as directed by the Property Engineer.
• Ensure the upkeep,cleanlinessand housekeeping of the pool area;utilizea pool area checklist tomonitorquality on a regular basis.
• Ensure the cleanliness of poolrestrooms,locker rooms, and exercise studio andmaintaina sufficient inventory of supplies.
• Greet, assist with programming, and monitor children’s and family activities in the Kid Zone and other family areas both inside Kids Zone and outdoors, ensuring guests are adhering to rules and regulations per property and safety standards.
• Perform other related duties as directed by Manager.
