Job summary

Diventures is seeking a Lifeguard Instructor certified by the American Red Cross to lead the training of future lifeguards. You will teach ARC Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid, while coordinating course logistics and certifications.

You will mentor candidates, ensure compliance with ARC criteria, stay current on credentials, and collaborate with aquatics leadership to deliver high-quality training. This role offers opportunities for ongoing instruction and impact.

Qualifications

• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) certification.
• Additional instructor certifications (e.g., CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers, First Aid, Water Safety Instructor).
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to engage, motivate, and lead diverse groups of learners.
• Confidence in the water and comfort, demonstrating physical skills.
• Reliability, professionalism, and an upbeat, safety-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Teach & Certify: Deliver engaging ARC Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid classes.
• Prep Like a Pro: Coordinate and organize all course logistics - from setup and materials to student materials and certifications.
• Inspire Safety: Motivate and mentor lifeguard candidates to take water safety seriously and develop the skills to respond to emergencies with confidence.
• Assess & Coach: Evaluate participant performance, provide constructive feedback, and uphold ARC evaluation criteria for passing.
• Stay Current: Maintain up-to-date ARC Instructor credentials and participate in professional development opportunities when available.
• Collaborate: Work closely with aquatics leadership, on-site teams, and other instructors to create a seamless, professional training experience.
