Job summary

Qualifications

• ARC Lifeguard/CPR/AED/First Aid certification current.
• ARC Lifeguard Instructor certification current.
• Ability to read and interpret training materials and communicate clearly.
• Organizational and time-management skills; ability to supervise training.

Responsibilities

• Arranges, prepares and conducts Lifeguard Training classes in accordance with ARC standards.
• Observes and directs all class participants and provides feedback and appropriate correction.
• Communicates consistently to each participant about performance, progress and needs.
• Maintains comprehensive knowledge of ARC subject matter for courses taught.
• Completes all required records, forms and reports including attendance and certification forms.
• Coordinates course offerings with the Aquatics Supervisor.
• Assesses and informs the Aquatics Supervisor of equipment and supply needs.
• Prepares classroom for training, inventories and maintains all course materials and equipment.
• Performs all other related duties as requested or assigned.
