Oshman Family Jewish Community Center (OFJCC) in Palo Alto, CA seeks a Lifeguard Instructor to support Red Cross course certifications and lead trainings. You will prepare and implement all coursework for Lifeguard, CPR/AED, First Aid, and related trainings, while observing and guiding participants per Red Cross guidelines.
The role schedules courses with Aquatics leadership, ensures progress is communicated to students and families, and contributes to course development and marketing.

As a Lifeguard Instructor you will be responsible for supporting our campus certification needs for Red Cross courses. You will work with the Aquatics Manager or other department heads regarding course scheduling, skill evaluations, or skill review. In this position you will prepare and implement all Red Cross Certified course work for the following trainings: Lifeguard course, CPR/AED, First Aid, etc. As a Lifeguard Instructor you will be responsible for observing and directing all class participants, providing feedback and appropriate corrections as per Red Cross guidelines and Aquatics Management direction.
