Job summary

The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Philadelphia, PA is hiring Lifeguard I for the Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center. The role is part-time, with up to 29 hours per week, including weekends and evenings, reporting to Aquatics Managers. Compensation is about $16.00 per hour with non-exempt status.

You will supervise aquatic areas, maintain safety, assist guests, and support center operations while upholding the Salvation Army mission.

Qualifications

• PA state lifeguard certification required; ability to satisfy periodic swimming requirements.
• Current CPR/AED required; strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must read, write and communicate in English; able to work with people in a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe utilization of all aquatic areas for members and guests.
• Provide superior customer service while supervising aquatic venues.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment in water park and pools; assist in daily maintenance.
• Remain flexible to support center operations and participate in staff meetings and training.
