Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern CA Division is seeking a part-time Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) to supervise and train aquatics staff at the Kroc Center. The LGI will work with Aquatics Supervisors to maintain safe pool operations and balance chemicals during MOD shifts, with set weekend hours as directed by the Aquatics Managers.

Responsibilities include coordinating Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid courses, serving as Manager on Duty, conducting ongoing staff training, and ensuring

Qualifications

• Current certifications in Lifeguarding and CPR Pro are required.
• Must possess and maintain a current American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and evaluate Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, First Aid courses.
• Provide lifeguard coverage and supervision during shifts.
• Lead in-service training and staff development.
• Respond to aquatic emergencies and ensure safety standards.
