Schedule:

Part-time Plus (up to 20 hours per week); Part-time (up to 19 hours per week). Must be willing and able to work weekends and evenings as required or requested to support the center's operations.

Reporting Relationship:

Aquatics Manager (AM), Aquatics Supervisor (AS)

Salary Grade:

$16.00

Status:

74 Non-exempt

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe use of all aquatic areas by members and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• Support the team in all areas of center operation as needed.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment in the water park and swimming areas.
• Supervise member and guest use of aquatic venues.
• Demonstrate knowledge of safety and emergency procedures and participate in daily maintenance of aquatic facilities and emergency equipment.
• Share information about programs and services offered by the center.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
• Maintain professionalism and a positive demeanor in all interactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the center's success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or enrolled in such a program.
• PA state lifeguard certification and ability to meet swimming requirements.
• Prior lifeguarding experience in PA preferred.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work well with people.
• Training and proof of completion for child abuse recognition and reporting, as per PA Act 153, required within 30 days of employment, with recurrent training every three years.
• Child Protection Clearances, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check required.
• Understanding and appreciation of The Salvation Army and RJKCCC mission.
