Job summary

YMCA of Northern Colorado is seeking year-round Lifeguards for the Lafayette YMCA in Lafayette, CO. A +10% bilingual differential applies for staff fluent in Spanish and English. If not certified, lifeguard classes are available.

You will monitor pool safety, maintain cleanliness, test water, and engage with guests and program participants. Part-time schedule with benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Current ARC/YMCA Lifeguard, First Aid, AED, Emergency Oxygen and CPR-PR Certifications.
• Professional, alert, courteous.
• Blood Borne Pathogens within 30 days of being hired.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for safety and wellbeing of members and guests.
• Ensure safety of participants in or near pool or hot tub.
• General pool maintenance, water testing and problem solving.
• Relate positively to staff, members, and participants.
• Other duties as assigned.
