Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking lifeguards aged 18+ to join our team. If you love swimming and helping others, this is a great fit; you will develop communication, leadership, and responsibility while keeping swimmers safe.

The role offers flexible hours, opportunities to learn and grow, and the chance to be part of a nonprofit that strengthens the community. Weekend availability is a must, and Red Cross Lifeguard certification or the ability to pass the course is required.

• Passionate about safety around water and strong swim skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety and surveillance of all pool participants.
• Understanding and applying organizational safety procedures for the pool deck and aquatic areas.
• Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the pool deck, including skimming and brushing.
