Job summary

Le Jardin Academy in Kailua, HI is seeking a full-time Lifeguard to maintain constant pool surveillance and respond to emergencies.

The ideal candidate holds American Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR/First Aid, and Open Water Lifeguard certification (Open Water preferred). Shift is Mon-Fri 6:00am-2:00pm. Authorized to work in the United States; hourly pay $17.00–$20.00.

Responsibilities

Job description

Le Jardin Academy is seeking a Lifeguard (Full-time). The Lifeguardmaintains constant surveillance in the pool; acts immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of children in the event of emergency. Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services. Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification required, along with CPR/First Aid Certification. Open Water Lifeguard Certification preferred. Must be available Monday through Friday, 6:00am-2:00pm. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Hourly pay range: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour.

Job Scope

Essential Functions

• Maintains constant surveillance of the pool; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety.
• Enforce all pool rules in a consistent manner.
• Maintains clean environment for all users to include pool deck and changing rooms.
• Respond quickly, intelligently, decisively and in accordance with established emergency and accident management procedures.
• Responsible for maintenance and cleaning of the pool, which includes vacuuming and cleaning pool tiles.
• Be alert or prevent accidents .

Qualifications and Requirements

Education

• Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification.
• CPR/First Aide certification.
