Job summary

Le Jardin Academy in Kailua, Hawaii, seeks a full-time Lifeguard to maintain constant pool surveillance and respond to emergencies until EMS arrival. Required are American Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR/First Aid, and Open Water Lifeguard certifications; Open Water preferred.

Work Monday through Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. The Lifeguard enforces pool rules, maintains the pool deck and changing areas, and supports instruction to ensure a safe

Qualifications

• Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Open Water Lifeguard Certification preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains constant surveillance of the pool.
• Enforce all pool rules in a consistent manner.
• Maintains clean environment for all users to include pool deck and changing rooms.
• Respond quickly, intelligently, decisively and in accordance with established emergency and accident management procedures.
• Responsible for maintenance and cleaning of the pool, which includes vacuuming and cleaning pool tiles.
• Be alert or prevent accidents .
• Participates in class lessons as needed.
• Other duties as needed.
