Job summary

The City of Plano is accepting applications for Lifeguards to ensure pool safety and provide excellent customer service. You will monitor activities, enforce rules, and respond to emergencies with CPR/First Aid as required.

No formal education is required; applicants must be at least sixteen years old and prepared to participate in required trainings and certifications. Join a team dedicated to safe and welcoming aquatic programs in Plano Parks and Recreation.

Qualifications

Knowledge of aquatics activities, lifeguarding, CPR/First Aid, water safety practices.
Skill in communicating effectively, strong swimming abilities and customer service.
Education: No formal education required.
Age: must be at least sixteen (15) years old.

Responsibilities

Monitors pool activities and enforces pool rules.
Identifies and responds to emergency situations; provides CPR/First Aid when needed.
Performs general maintenance in and around the pool.
Attends required in-service training as required by the Department.
Registers patrons for classes and provides excellent customer service.
