• Must pass a background check for base access.

About the Role:

The Lifeguard Coordinator at Kirtland AFB oversees the safety and well-being of all patrons at aquatic facilities. This role involves managing a team of lifeguards, ensuring they are adequately trained and equipped to respond to emergencies. The coordinator will develop and implement safety protocols, conduct regular drills, and maintain compliance with local regulations. The Lifeguard Coordinator will also schedule shifts, manage staff performance, and foster a positive work environment. Ultimately, this position aims to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors while fostering a culture of safety within the lifeguard team. Lifeguard Coordinator are scheduled Monday through Friday only; 5:30-8:30AM, 10:30-1:30PM, and 3:30-6:30PM . No weekends, no federal holidays. Projected support schedule: 3:15-6:30PM. Minimum Qualifications:

• Current lifeguard certification from American Red Cross, StarGuard ELITE, or Ellis & Associates

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Certification or Lifeguard Instructor Trainer Certification (LGI/LGIT)
• Supervisory experience preferred. A Certified Pool Operator (CPO) credential is a strong plus.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Salary Information
