Job summary

Water Country lifeguards at Herschend Family Entertainment protect guests by monitoring aquatic areas and responding to emergencies with trained efficiency. The role emphasizes safety, clear communication, and professional conduct in a busy outdoor environment.

Team members must be 18+, flexible to work evenings and weekends, and complete Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training. Bilingual skills are a plus, contributing to a welcoming guest experience and smooth operations throughout the season.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old to comply with NH Labor Laws.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must successfully complete the Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training Program before lifeguard duties.
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch riders down water slides.
• Assist guests onto mats and tubes.
• Rove pool areas and scan for distressed swimmers.
• Maintain constant surveillance and manage emergencies with composure.
• Perform water rescues using approved techniques and equipment.
• Provide first aid to injured guests when authorized.
• Escalate medical emergencies to proper authorities as needed.
• Enforce weight and height requirements for safety.
• Report safety concerns and lost children to management.
