Job summary

Chapel Hill Aquatics is seeking a lifeguard to oversee indoor and outdoor pool areas and ensure patron safety. You will monitor activity, perform rescues and first aid, and maintain facilities while delivering excellent customer service.

Required are lifeguard certification with CPR/First Aid, ability to swim 300 yards, and English proficiency. The role is open until filled and commonly operates at local pool facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Current Lifeguard certification with CPR/First Aid.
• Ability to swim 300 yards, tread water 2 minutes.
• Read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor swimming areas to enforce rules and assist patrons.
• Perform lifeguard rescues, first aid and CPR when needed.
• Inspect pool facilities and report issues promptly.
• Assist in pool maintenance and facility cleanliness.
• Provide outstanding customer service and attend trainings.
