Job summary

City of Boca Raton seeks a diligent Pool Lifeguard to supervise aquatic facilities, enforce rules, respond to emergencies, and provide First Aid and CPR while supporting pool operations.

Candidates must have a High School diploma or GED and current American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED and First Aid; strong customer service and teamwork are essential; WSI or Oxygen Administration certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalence.
• Must possess current American Red Cross Lifeguarding (Including Deep Water) with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Monitor activities in and near the water through patron surveillance.
• Enforce facility safety rules and educate patrons.
• Respond to emergencies including rescue, First Aid and CPR.
• Provide swimming instruction to individuals or groups.
• Maintain pool water chemical balance and operate filtration systems.
• Assist with pool maintenance and report writing.
• Deliver safety orientations and supervise swim tests.
• Attend in-service trainings and assist with events.
