Job summary

The Army NAF lifeguard position involves guarding indoor and outdoor pools under the Installation Aquatics Program Manager, enforcing safety rules, and responding to emergencies. You will assist with water survival training and Red Cross swim lessons, while maintaining pool cleanliness and safety procedures.

Expect to perform water tests, keep logs, and participate in on-the-job and safety trainings. Position requires appropriate certifications, background checks, and health assessments for duty

Qualifications

• Demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.
• Must have current health assessment documenting good physical health.
• Subject to pre-employment checks and background investigations.
• Lifeguards must maintain required certifications and may be required to obtain additional training.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a lifeguard for indoor and outdoor pools and monitor guests.
• Respond to emergencies, perform rescues and administer first aid as required.
• Assist with aquatic training and swim lessons as directed.
• Maintain pool area cleanliness and report water test results.
• Enforce safety rules and assist with safety/program coaching as needed.
• Keep daily logs and participate in required training and drills.
