Job summary

U.S. Army NAF is seeking a lifeguard for indoor and outdoor pools, reporting to the Installation Aquatics Program Manager. You will supervise the pool area, respond to emergencies, and provide first aid as needed to ensure guest safety.

You will assist in aquatic trainings per established guidelines and help with Red Cross swim lessons as an aide. Role requires health and safety compliance and regular training attendance.

Qualifications

• Lifeguarding and First Aid certification through the American Red Cross, or a nationally recognized equivalent such as StarGuard, YMCA, or ELLIS.
• Resume must not exceed two pages and clearly show relevant experience and abilities for this position.
• Background checks and pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2, may be required.

Responsibilities

• Serves as lifeguard for indoor and outdoor pools under the Installation Aquatics Program Manager.
• Provides maximum pool area surveillance, responds to emergencies, rescues patrons and administers first aid as needed.
• Assists with aquatic swimming and water survival training per ATP 7-22.01 and with Red Cross swim lessons as an aide.
• Attends aquatics/safety training and maintains pool area cleanliness and safety.
• Performs water tests and informs swimmers about safety, health and admission rules.
