Job summary

Lee's Summit Parks and Recreation is seeking a lifeguard to ensure patron safety and enforce facility rules during the season. Responsibilities include supervising swimmers, responding to emergencies, and assisting with aquatic program needs.

The position requires lifeguard, first aid, CPR, and AED certifications, and the candidate must be at least 15 years old. EOE employment is offered for this role.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Must possess valid American Red Cross lifeguard certification (provided after hire).
• Must possess valid Basic first aid, CPR and AED certification before first day of season.

Responsibilities

• Perform lifeguard duties according to established procedures and certifications.
• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons and act to secure safety during emergencies.
• Provide emergency care and treatment until EMS arrival.
