Job summary

Navy Region Southeast Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) Gulfport CNIC invites applications for a Lifeguard position in the NF-0189 series. The incumbent will perform pool and waterfront lifeguard duties, supervise swimmers, monitor water activities, render first aid, and enforce safety rules to protect lives at the facility.

Qualifications include Lifeguard Training Certification CNICINST 1710.3, CPR, First Aid (AED), and Blood Borne Pathogens; ability to test pool chemistry; strong safety

Qualifications

• Lifeguard Training Certification CNICINST 1710.3.
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Providers.
• First Aid to include AED Certification.
• Blood Borne Pathogens Certification.
• Knowledge of pool and waterfront safety rules.
• Knowledge of DoD, DON and CNIC policies governing aquatic programs.
• Ability to identify hazards and enforce safety rules.
• Ability to instruct water safety and enforce facility rules.
• Ability to conduct routine safety inspections and pool chemical testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform all lifeguard duties for pool/waterfront areas, supervise swimmers and activities.
• Render first aid and CPR as needed and call for medical assistance.
• Inspect facility for hazards and ensure compliance with DoD/DON/CNIC policies.
