Job summary

Lifeguard at Midtown Chicago is a year-round, part-time role responsible for watching over pools and ensuring the safety of aquatics areas. The position requires enforcing pool rules, maintaining surveillance, responding to emergencies, and supporting swim lessons and recreational swimming.

Candidates should have strong swimming abilities and nationally recognized certifications in aquatics (Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, First Aid); Red Cross certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong swimming abilities with training and certification in water rescue.
• Possess nationally recognized certifications in aquatics including: Lifeguarding, Pro CPR/AED, First Aid
• Red Cross Certification, preferred
• Demonstrate strong, proactive communication skills, including timely responses to management regarding operational updates.
• Take responsibility for regularly reviewing work-related communication.
