Job summary

Town and Country Resort in San Diego is seeking a friendly Lifeguard to monitor the pool area, ensuring guest safety and delivering excellent service. You will enforce safety policies, respond to emergencies, and assist guests with questions while maintaining a clean pool environment.

The role requires current lifeguard certification, CPR/First Aid/AED, and strong swimming ability. Hospitality experience is preferred; weekend and peak-season coverage is common.

Qualifications

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Maintain constant surveillance of the pool, deck, and surrounding areas to ensure guest safety.
• Enforce all hotel and pool safety policies and procedures professionally and consistently.
• Respond quickly to water rescues and emergency situations, administering lifesaving techniques such as CPR and First Aid as needed.
• Provide courteous, professional assistance to guests and address questions or concerns.
• Inspect pool areas and equipment to identify safety hazards or maintenance needs and report all incidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly pool environment.
• Maintain required certifications and participate in training and safety drills.
• Assist with pool activities or special events as assigned.

Physical Demands
