Power Wellness operates Valley Health Wellness and Fitness Center, seeking a part-time Lifeguard for weekday morning shifts. The role focuses on ensuring member safety in pools and surrounding areas, with responsibilities spanning lifeguarding, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety procedures.

Ideal candidates hold current Lifeguard and CPR/AED certifications, with Water Safety Instructor certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Lifeguard certification from a nationally recognized organization is required.
• CPR/AED certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Maintain safety in the pools and surrounding pool areas.
• Provide supervision and perform lifesaving measures when necessary.
• Participate in maintenance of pool, exercise equipment and emergency equipment.
• Be proficient in core business software as it relates to job duties.
• Support center goals and adapt to center hours and schedules.
• Comply with safety requirements and certifications for the role.
• Demonstrate knowledge of emergency and safety procedures and coordinate with EMS.
• Complete HIPAA and related training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Type: Part time, Weekday morning hours

Hiring Range: $15.00-$16.00

The part time Lifeguard is responsible for providing safety to the members and guests in the pools and surrounding areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain safety in the pools and surrounding pool areas.


• Provide supervision and take life saving measures when necessary for members and guests in the pool and surrounding areas.


• Participate in maintenance of pool, exercise equipment and emergency equipment.


• Be proficient in all core business software as it relates to job duties and responsibilities.


• Work towards meeting departmental and organizational goals.


• The ability to be flexible and accommodating as it relates to center hours and work schedules.


• Must meet all safety requirements and certifications necessary to perform job duties.


• Demonstrate complete knowledge of emergency and safety procedures and confidence communicating with EMS.


• Participate in Company's HIPAA and related training.


• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Current Lifeguard certification from a nationally recognized organization required.


• Minimum 2 years of part time experience as a lifeguard preferred.


• Water Safety Instructor certification is preferred.


• CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire (provided by Power Wellness)


• Must possess excellent inter-personal and communication skills, and the ability to work with members in a positive, service based manner.
