What You Will Do
  • Monitor pool and pool users at all times, ensuring users are safe and no hazards are present.
  • Uphold all aquatic facility policies, rules and regulations.
  • Recognize and respond quickly to any emergencies that may arise.
  • Assist with opening and closing the pool as needed.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required.
What Education And Skills You Will Need
  • High School Diploma.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience and a valid lifeguarding certification from the American Red Cross or another national organization, including certification in lifeguarding, first aid and CPR/AED for the professional rescuer.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work with ethnically, culturally, and socially diverse students, staff, faculty, and other constituencies.
  • Envision and propose new methods to perform tasks that support ET&A; take thoughtful risks; and accept new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to achieve sought‑after results.
  • Anticipate and embrace change; demonstrate willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; and be flexible in changing conditions.
How And Where You Will Work
