Job summary

The Sonoma County Family YMCA in Santa Rosa, CA is hiring certified lifeguards for part-time aquatics roles across morning, afternoon, evening, weekday, and weekend shifts. You'll monitor pool safety, respond to emergencies, build positive relationships with members, and help maintain a clean aquatic environment while enjoying YMCA benefits such as membership and development opportunities.

Applicants must hold current Lifeguard certification and meet the YMCA/Red Cross standards; compensation

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old by date of hire.
• Current Lifeguard Certification required (American Red Cross or YMCA).
• American Red Cross First Aid for the Public Safety Personnel (Title 22) and CPR for the Professional Rescuer certifications desired.

Responsibilities

• Maintain active surveillance of the pool and surrounding areas.
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
• Build positive relationships with members and guests.
• Perform pool safety checks and facility inspections.
• Assist with maintaining a clean and safe aquatic environment.
• Work collaboratively with the aquatics team.
