Job summary

Lucky Strike Entertainment is seeking a part-time Lifeguard to monitor aquatic areas, enforce safety rules, and respond to emergencies across our water-related attractions. You’ll educate guests on safety protocols and ensure posted signs are followed, while maintaining professionalism during busy shifts.

Applicants must be at least 16, pass Lifeguard training and CPR/First Aid, and demonstrate strong swimming ability. High school enrollment or diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 16 years.
• Must pass Lifeguard training.
• Must pass CPR/First Aid certification.
• Strong swimming ability and endurance.
• Ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma, equivalent, or currently enrolled in high school.

Responsibilities

• Monitor aquatic areas and prevent injuries by communicating with Guests and eliminating hazards.
• Enforce safety and departmental rules while maintaining a polite, professional demeanor.
• Educate Guests on safety protocols and ensure posted warning signs are followed.
• Conduct rescues in accordance with Lifeguard training and certification.
• Maintain live skills to respond to emergencies and participate in required training.
• Report safety concerns or incidents to the Lifeguard Supervisor immediately.
• Ensure all equipment is in good working order before use.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a safe Guest experience.
• Remain alert and engaged throughout shifts to ensure safety.

WHAT OUR LIFEGUARDS DO

Our Lifeguards are the heartbeat of water safety across the park.You’llmonitoraquatic areas, respond quickly to emergencies, and partner with Aquatics leadership to keep every guest experience safe and enjoyable.

A LIFEGUARD’S DAY-TO-DAY

• Monitor aquatic areas and prevent injuries by proactively communicating with Guests andeliminatinghazards.
• Enforce all safety and departmental rules whilemaintaininga polite and professional demeanor.
• Educate Guests on safety protocols and ensure all posted warning signs are adhered to.
• Conduct safe and effective rescuesin accordance withtraining and lifeguard certification protocols.
• Maintain test-ready skills to always respond to emergencies.
• Participate in all required in-service training tomaintainlifeguard certification.
• Be knowledgeable in completing live audits correctly.
• Report any safety concerns or incidents to the Lifeguard Supervisor immediately.
• Ensure all equipment is in good working order before use.
• Keep hip packs filled and prepared for emergency situations.
• Utilize and understand whistle signals for effective communication with team members.
• Work collaboratively with fellow team members tomaintaina safe and enjoyable Guest experience.
• Remain alert andengagedthroughout shifts to ensurea high levelof safety awareness.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support park operations.

WHAT IT TAKES

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Typical entertainment and waterpark environment whereyou’llwalk, bend, and stand for extended periods, and may lift objects with someassistance.You’llwork outdoors in various weather conditions and remain highly alert throughout your shift.
