Job summary

Lucky Strike Entertainment is seeking a Lifeguard to monitor the park's aquatic areas, respond quickly to emergencies, and partner with Aquatics leadership to keep guests safe and enjoying their visit.

You will enforce safety rules, educate guests on protocols, and perform rescues as trained. This role requires strong swimming, vigilance, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. Part-time, seasonal, 16+ eligibility, located in Destin, FL.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16.
• Lifeguard training must be completed by the company.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Strong swimming ability and endurance.
• Ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
• HS diploma or current enrollment in school is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor aquatic areas and prevent injuries through proactive guest communication.
• Enforce safety rules with a polite, professional demeanor.
• Educate guests on safety protocols and posted warnings.
• Conduct safe rescues in line with training and certification.
• Maintain readiness to respond to emergencies at all times.
• Participate in in-service training to maintain lifeguard certification.
• Report safety concerns to the Lifeguard Supervisor immediately.
• Ensure equipment is in good working order before use.
• Work with team to maintain a safe guest experience.
• Remain alert and engaged during shifts for safety.

WHAT OUR LIFEGUARDS DO

Our Lifeguards are the heartbeat of water safety across the park. You’ll monitor aquatic areas, respond quickly to emergencies, and partner with Aquatics leadership to keep every guest experience safe and enjoyable.

A LIFEGUARD’S DAY-TO-DAY

• Monitor aquatic areas and prevent injuries by proactively communicating with guests and eliminating hazards.
• Enforce all safety and departmental rules while maintaining a polite and professional demeanor.
• Educate guests on safety protocols and ensure all posted warning signs are adhered to.
• Conduct safe and effective rescues in accordance with training and lifeguard certification protocols.
• Maintain test-ready skills to always respond to emergencies.
• Participate in all required in-service training to maintain lifeguard certification.
• Be knowledgeable in completing live audits correctly.
• Report any safety concerns or incidents to the Lifeguard Supervisor immediately.
• Ensure all equipment is in good working order before use.
• Keep hip packs filled and prepared for emergency situations.
• Utilize and understand whistle signals for effective communication with team members.
• Work collaboratively with fellow team members to maintain a safe and enjoyable guest experience.
• Remain alert and engaged throughout shifts to ensure a high level of safety awareness.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support park operations.

WHAT IT TAKES

• Minimum age: 16 years.
• Must pass Lifeguard training (provided by the company).
• Must pass CPR/First Aid certification.
• Strong swimming ability and endurance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Typical entertainment and waterpark environment where you’ll walk, bend, and stand for extended periods, and may lift objects with some assistance. You’ll work outdoors in various weather conditions and remain highly alert throughout your shift.
