Job description

Job Title: Lifeguard at Hurricane Harbor Waterpark

Join the Aquatics team at Hurricane Harbor! Become a Six Flags employee and enjoy benefits such as FREE park entry, exclusive employee ride nights, team member events, and more. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Maintain constant vigilance and supervision of Guests in the Waterpark.
2. Recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies using skills taught by Ellis & Associates ILTP.
3. Maintain a "Test-Ready" skill level post-certification.
4. Adhere to all policies, practices, and procedures outlined in the Ellis & Associates ILTP program.
5. Assist in other areas of the Aquatics Department as needed.
6. Attend 4 hours of In-Service training each month.
7. Enforce Six Flags' policies and communicate safety policies to Guests.
8. Maintain punctuality and a clean work environment.
9. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Minimum age of 15; must be at least 16 to obtain a Special Facilities License.
2. Ability to communicate effectively.
3. Successful completion of lifeguard training and licensing through Jeff Ellis & Associates, including practical and written tests.
4. Ability to remain calm in stressful and emergency situations.
5. Capability to exit from a pool or attraction without ladders, steps, or a zero-depth exit.
6. Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
7. Professional, self-motivated, able to multi-task, and enthusiastic.
8. Strong teamwork skills and collaborative spirit.
