Job summary

The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Norfolk is seeking a part-time Lifeguard to ensure safe aquatic operations, observe swimmers, and respond to emergencies. The role requires enforcing regulations, maintaining a clean, safe pool environment, and reporting any equipment or facility issues.

Evening and weekend flexibility are essential for this position. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with current lifeguard certifications such as First Aid, CPR Pro, and Lifeguard Training.

Qualifications

• Must hold current lifeguard certifications (First Aid, CPR Pro, Lifeguard).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to observe, react to emergencies and enforce pool rules.

Responsibilities

• Observe swimmers and respond quickly to emergencies.
• Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe pool environment.
• Report equipment defects, facility issues, and safety concerns.
• Attend required staff meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

Job description
