Job Summary

You will guard our state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoor and outdoor. Your typical day could include monitoring the pool deck during operation hours, checking water quality, and maintaining a safe environment.

About You

You are safety-minded, customer service-oriented, with previous lifeguarding experience. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, communicate clearly, and pride yourself on excellent customer service skills and a strong work ethic.

What You’ll Do

• Greet, acknowledge, and interact with members
• Supervise swimming activities and ensure policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed
• Warn swimmers of improper activities or dangers and enforce pool regulations
• Rescue swimmers in danger and administer first aid
• Inform swimmers of potentially dangerous areas and activities
• Act quickly and professionally in emergencies
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the pool area
• Instruct and assist classes in swimming fundamentals as needed
• Attend mandatory meetings and training
• Never turn your back on the pool or leave it unattended
• Evaluate safety conditions and initiate emergency plans as needed
• Inspect pool facilities, equipment, and water quality
• Assist in cleaning the pool and hot tub
• Conduct water chemical tests and record results
• Complete incident reports when necessary

Our Requirements

• Must be 17+ years old
• Minimum of six months related work experience
• Availability for morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
• Proficiency in swimming in various water conditions

Preferred Requirements

• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or equivalent
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent
• First Aid certification or equivalent
• Knowledge of on-site protocols, procedures, and safety policies

Salary

$16.50 - $18 hourly
