Join Asphalt Green’s Aquatics Team!
Asphalt Green is a nonprofit organization with two aquatic centers in New York City—one on the Upper East Side and one in Battery Park City. Each location features two pools: a warm-water teaching pool and a larger competition pool. The Upper East Side location boasts a 50-meter Olympic-standard pool.
We’re seeking certified lifeguards to join our team at both sites. With flexible shifts available—mornings, afternoons, and evenings—and year-round operations, this role offers a meaningful way to contribute to a safe, supportive community space.

- Monitor pool areas and enforce safety rules
- Respond quickly to emergencies and provide first aid/CPR/AED
- Inspect safety equipment regularly
- Communicate clearly with patrons and staff
- Participate in mandatory training
- Current Lifeguard and CPR/AED certification
- Strong swimming and observation skills
- Calm under pressure
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience and Water Safety Instructor certification a plus
